Gabriella Brussino is a Professional Teaching Fellow in the School of Cultures, Languages and Linguistics of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is
co-ordinator of language teaching in Italian and Study Abroad Advisor.

She has extensive experience at all levels of language teaching and was granted a Distinguished Teaching Award by The University of Auckland in 1997, as well as a Sustained Excellence in Teaching Award by the Faculty of Arts of The University of Auckland in 2010.

Gabriella researches in the fields of Methodology of Language Teaching and Learning, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Flexible Learning (FL). Her research takes an 'interactionist' approach: the answers to some research questions guide the design of language courses and in turn the experience of using the teaching materials developed is reflected upon and produces further research issues.

Gabriella is currently teaching Italian Beginners A and B (level A1, A2), and Advanced Italian Language (Levels B2, C1).

Her latest project is the development of a Blended Learning course: Italian 100 Introductory Italian language, taught for the first time in 2019.
