Abstract

This tool to online test was designed to combine the fundamentals and technical information on the biomedical engineering and medical physics by exploring content published in recent years. Current information on advanced methods of analysis, engineering design to contribute new medical instruments and devices, medical systems for treatment and diagnosis, processing medical imaging and more efficient technologies have been used in medicine and related sectors. Biomedical engineering and medical physics is an interdisciplinary field which connects engineering and biomaterials science to Medicine. This way of systematic learning to new interdisciplinary concepts was prepared with interactive question based on papers published in scientific journals to last three years. Our preliminary research results have appointed that the main relevant themes related to these research areas are nanotechnologies, robots, precision medicine, medical imaging, medical diagnosis, big data, artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing and bio-prosthesis among others. This tool was designed to better prepare students for further education to medical field. Nowadays, it is common for each healthcare organization to have its own infrastructure for storing and manipulating data supporting its own needs. Undergraduate students should know, for example, technical terms related to these aspects existing in medical structures are a way to be updated with reference to big data, AI and medical image system.

Keywords: online test, biomedical engineering, medical physics, interdisciplinary fields.
