New Perspectives in Science Education

António Almeida is a Coordinator Professor at Lisbon School of Education, where he is responsible for the coordination of the Master Course in the 1st cycle of Primary Education and of the 2nd Cycle in Mathematics and Science. He is also coordinator of the Science Education Area in that institution. He has been responsible for several courses for in-service teacher training in Didactics of Science and Environmental Education. He has published several books and articles in international journals in the fields of Environmental Education, Environmental Ethics, Didactic of Science and in Geoscience Education. Presently, he is the coordinator of the projects GLOCAL-agir and PREDINATUR dedicated to the promotion of the visitation to natural areas.
