Laura Martin Ferrer is the coordinator of youth projects of CAE, a local education NGO with a specific expertise in non-formal education and games. In 2013, Laura graduated in primary school teacher from Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) in Spain. Prevously, she got a sociocultural animation in Manresa by Guillem Catà Institute in 2009. Since then, for the last 9 years, she has constantly been working in projects in non-formal education on games. In 2015, she specialized in gamification as a transformative tool for education at the University of Barcelona, and the following year he completed the Master's Degree in Innovation in Didactics of Sciences at the University of Vic. Laura’s final research project in the Master’s Degree was about how audio-visual aids can be used as a tool to teach science education for primary inservice teachers. Currently, she is a PhD student at UVic-UCC and her research topic i show games can be used in science education and in science teacher education. Laura was planning and management two European projects concentrating in particular on the areas of education, culture and games. These European projects that she coordinated, were presented as example of best practice in Diputació de Barcelona. She has developed and coordinated partnerships with no more than 22 people in Italy, France and Spain. Areas of expertise: non-formal education, project management and evaluation, school education, games.
