Alison Reynolds is the Associate Director of the University Writing Program at the University of Florida and is involved in innovation and design thinking across the university and in the community.
Alison graduated Rhetoric from the Texas Woman’s University. Now, she trains graduate students how to teach writing, delivers workshops on writing and design thinking, and teaches analytical thinking and innovation. She also teaches discipline-specific writing courses such as Writing for Engineers and Writing for the Law. In addition, she is very involved with teaching online and finding innovative ways to engage students in the online classroom.
In Alison’s work with diverse groups, she has found that she wants to develop more creative and design thinking opportunities in the classroom. Therefore, she attended the Stanford University d.School to learn how to effectively deliver design thinking workshops.
Alison’s research focuses on writing, assessment, creative thinking, and disability studies.
