SIlvia Stancheva is an Associate Professor at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). She has graduated in College Libraries; specialty Library Studies and Bibliography; bachelor's degree at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski "; specialty Library and Information activities; Master in "St. Kliment Ohridski "; specialty Library and information activities; professional Master's degree in Library and Information Activities and Cultural Policy and Information Security specialization of business and social sphere. Stancheva has been working as an Associate Professor at the Library Management Department of the Faculty Library Studies and Cultural Heritage, University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). She is an author of the monograph “Information service in libraries. Information literacy” (2014); “Educational strategies in libraries” (2014). Dr. Stancheva is a member of the Association of university libraries and the Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Main research area and subareas: Public Communications and Information Sciences, Library and Information Management, Information literacy, Studies of Bulgarian revival - social, historical and cultural processes, linguistic and literary studies in intercultural European influences. Additional research areas and subareas: Information services in libraries, history of institutions, customer evaluation of information services, information competence, library and information services and automated information search; Learning to work with electronic catalog and search databases; maintenance of equipment and software development; adapted library services for people with eyesight; preparation and presentation of presentations related to business processes and projects; preparation of bibliographies, almanacs.
