Isabel Duarte

Isabel Duarte Tosso is a Ph.D. student from the University of Almería, currently working on her thesis in the field of the didactics of Mathematics.

She graduated in Mathematics from the University of Sevilla in 2014. The following year she completed the Master’s degree in Mathematics and the Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education, both from the University of Málaga.

As of now, she is currently working at Rey Juan Carlos University, in Madrid.

Isabel's field of research is quite varied. Her main line of research is Women in Mathematics, subject about which she is developing her doctoral thesis. She is also researching about other topics such as didactical analysis of textbooks.

Areas of expertise: Mathematics education, teaching and learning, teacher training, secondary education.
