Meirav is the director of the iScientist at the Davidson Institute of Science Education, the educational arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Meirav has completed her undergraduate studies and her MSc in Geophysics at Tel Aviv University. In her MSc, she investigated geodynamic phenomena near the Dead Sea transform, using high-resolution magnetic measurements.
In 2012, Meirav began working at the Davidson Institute of Science Education. She guided students in scientific research activities, worked with teachers in the “Shavit” program for high achieving students in Junior high school, developed teaching materials in Physics, and organized students’ astronomy and graduates conferences. Concurrently, Meirav developed and led active workshops for science teacher as part of the Team workshops program.
Since 2016, she has been directing the iScientist program, that enables teachers to invite leading scientists for scientific conversations with their students via live video-chats.
