Larkin Cunningham is a lecturer in computer science at Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland. He is coordinator of the Higher Diploma in Cloud and Mobile Software Development, a successful programme that has helped dozens of mature graduates re-skill from non-ICT areas into ICT.

He teaches a number of computer science modules. He specializes in teaching software development frameworks, microservice architecture, game design / development, NoSQL databases.

He is in the latter stages of a PhD at University College, Cork. His research is in the area of game-based learning, learning analytics, adaptive learning, virtual reality and the creation of an adaptive model for the development of digital game based learning.

He also has extensive industry experience in software development, network/systems/database administration, innovation and entrepreneurship. He has consulted for a number of blue chip clients including GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Pepsi.
