New Perspectives in Science Education

Sara Ricciardi is a scientist (Physicist with a Ph.D. in Astronomy) with 11 year of experience working for ESA/NASA on satellite projects, ballon borne experiments and more recently for ESO. She also has experience in Project Management and Configuration of complex scientific projects. From 2010 she has been involved in Outreach and Public Engagement for her Institution with a special focus in Education. She led an effort to bring hands-on STEM experience to the pupil of her local public schools. Sara evolved from a scientist devoted mainly to data analysis to an expert in Outreach and Public Engagement. Her goal is to bring science to everyone in a truly democratic way, fighting stereotypes and socio-cultural barriers
