Chris Brignell

Chris Brignell is the Director of Natural Sciences and an Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Nottingham, UK.

He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, UK, and won a Lord Dearing Award for his teaching in 2019. He is interested in strategies such as active learning and authentic assessment for improving student attainment, engagement and employability. He is a member of the UK's Society for Natural Sciences committee for pedagogy research in interdisciplinary science education.

Chris has a Masters degree in Mathematics, a PhD in Statistics and a Postgraduate Certificate of Higher Education. He is head of the Mathematics Education Scholarship section at the University of Nottingham.
