Anton Penchev Stoykov is an Associate Professor at the Department of Preschool and Primary School Education, Faculty of Education, Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
In 1993, Anton Stoykov earned his degree in Preschool Education from the University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In the period from 2004 to 2010, he worked as a Nursery Teacher and a Primary Teacher. In 2001 he earned a Master’s Degree in Primary School Education from the University of Veliko Tarnovo Sts. Cyril and Methodius. In 2009, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled Gaming Technologies Promoting Interaction in Preschool Age and earned his Doctoral Degree in Education. In 2010 after participating in an open competition, he started work as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Affairs, Faculty of Medicine, Trakia University. In 2012 he became a Chief Assistant Professor at the same department, and in 2014 he became and an Associate Professor. In 2020, after taking part in open competition, Anton Stoykov was appointed on the position of Associate Professor in Theory of Learning and Didactics at the Department of Preschool and Primary School Education, Faculty of Education, Trakia University.
Anton Stoykov has a number of scientific publications in the field of social work with both children and adults, as well as in the field of preschool education. His scientific research is focused on the challenges of communication tolerance in social work, the educational gaming technologies used in the study programmes of the Social Work students, educational technologies promoting interactive gaming in preschool age, gaming technologies promoting communication skills in preschool age, as well as modern aspects of the family and preschool education. Anton Stoykov has been taking an active part in national and university scientific projects.
He is a member of the Editorial teams of the magazines issued by the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria. Anton Stoykov is a member of national and international organizations.
