Cormac Quigley

Dr Cormac Quigley is a lecturer in the School of Science and Computing, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.

Cormac is an active researcher in learning technology and has recently been awarded funding to investigate Applications of Analytics in Student Engagement. He has previously received funding for his research in Learning Analytics for Student Feedback and Lightboard technology as a teaching tool. He is also active in scientific research, supervising funded postgraduate research in applied chemistry.

Cormac’s work on analytics was awarded Best Use of Educational Technology at the Irish Education Awards 2019 and the GMIT President’s Award for Teaching Excellence 2017. Cormac is also GMIT involved in outreach activities such as Sci-fest, the Irish Chemistry Olympiad, and the SURE Network Ireland.
