New Perspectives in Science Education

Dr. Wijekumar is devoted to eradicating iliteracy in all forms including scientific literacy. She has secured over 90 million dollars in research grants to develop and test artificial intelligence (AI) driven web-based tutoring systems for reading, writing, science, and social studies for students. She has also devoted significant efforts to improve teacher knowledge about content and pedagogy.
