Stoyan Boyanov is an Assistant-Professor and currently a PhD student at the Department of National and International Security, University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT), Sofia, Bulgaria. Assist. Boyanov is also a Senior Expert at the Institute of Informing Science, Knowledge Management and Security, alongside being Chairperson of the Youth Scientific Academy.
He teaches the courses “Civil Control over the Security Sector,” “Ethno-Religious Aspects of National Security,” and “Risks and Threats to Security.”
His research interests are in the fields of national security, crisis management, the cultural heritage of the Republic of Bulgaria, and others. Currently, Assist. Boyanov is working on his PhD dissertation, titled "Management of the Information Processes in the National Security System during Crises".
He has participated in research projects and programs in the areas of national security and cultural heritage. He is the author of scholarly publications, including the textbook “Civil Control and Publicity of Information,” as well as numerous peer-reviewed and indexed publications in national and internationally recognized databases, devoted to issues related to security, public administration, information, and cultural heritage.
