Dr Ioanna Tyrou, (B.A. Italic and Spanish Literature, B.A. Primary Education, M.A. in ICT, PhD in Educational Technology and Didactics. Research Member)
She graduated from the Department of Italian Language and Literature at the University of Athens in 2003 and she also graduated from the Pedagogical Department of Elementary Education at the University of Athens in 2007. Moreover, she obtained a Master Degree in Computer Science In Education in 2007 at the University of Athens. Thematic priority of her Ph.D. thesis (2013) is the teaching of Italian language as a foreign language and its culture through virtual and cultural environments. She is a Research Members in Natural Language Processing Research Group of National Metsovio Polytechnic, Athens since 2014. She worked as a teacher in Elementary Education (2007-2017). Since 2017 she has been teaching at the Department of Italian Language and Literature at the University of Athens. She focuses on the creative use of the Internet and the New Technologies in teaching practice and on creative writing in foreign language.
Ioanna Tyrou has participated in international and greek conferences. Her thesis, a product of teamwork, has won the first prize of educational software in Greece, an award by the Lambrakis Foundation (October 2011).
