Marta D. Santos is Science Public Information Officer at cE3c – Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Portugal).
Marta D. Santos obtained her PhD in Physics, in Evolutionary Game Theory and Network Science (2012, University of Lisbon), and was postdoctoral researcher in the same area at University of Aveiro (Portugal) between 2013-2014.
Her increasing interest in science communication led her to pursue a Master in the field (New University of Lisbon, 2012-2015). In 2014 she decided to switch from research to science communication: first as Project’s Assistant at Portugal’s largest science center, Pavillion of Knowledge; and since 2016 as responsible for cE3c’s Communication Office.
Winner of FameLab Portugal 2014, since then she collaborates regularly with the contest as jury member. Her interests span science journalism, oral (science) communication, the intersection between science & literature, among others.
