Inês Braga is Portuguese, born in Porto. She has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures - Portuguese and French Studies, (1986), a Master in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies (1999) and a PhD in Information and Communication on Digital Platforms (2014) degrees obtained at the University of Porto. In addition, she obtained the Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.) from the University of Toulouse le-Mirail - France (1989) and a postgraduate degree in Information Sciences from Universidade Aberta (2018).
She was a teacher of Secondary Education for six years and teaches in higher education at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto for 27 years, having taught subjects in the area of Languages, Communication and Information Science.
Simultaneously with the teaching activity, she has held management duties for years - advising the School Presidency, Library Officer, Head of the International Programs Office and Coordinator of a degree in Information Science. She coordinated the Technical-Scientific Unit of Languages and Law and was part of the Technical-Scientific Council of the institution.
She has attended several national and international conferences in the area of Languages, Literature, Education, Information Science, and she is author of several communications and articles especially in that last area.
Her PhD in Information Science is about Information Literacy in a Polytechnic School.
She is currently a teacher in Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Politécnico do Porto (ISCAP) - Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of the Polytechnic of Porto, in the Department of Information Systems and she teaches in a degree of Information Science and in a Master of Business Information.
