Songs in e-learning Platform: Turkish Certificate Program

Abstract
Using songs in face-to-face classrooms is a very traditional method in language teaching. Songs are powerful tools in the learning experience. Using songs in foreign language teaching allows teachers to use the students‘ musical intelligence and their musical interests to achieve language skills. Internet-based language teaching is gaining importance day by day. Various programs are being prepared for language learners. Turkish Certificate Program (TSP) is one of these programs. TSP consists of A1, A2, B1, B2 four language levels. Each level consists of twelve units. In each units there is a song about content of the unit. These songs were prepared in parallel with both the vocabulary and the grammatical subject. The purpose of the present study is to give some information about the relationship between the songs and contents of the units.
