Sharing Knowledge In The Lesson Study Of Language Teachers

Abstract
Lesson study is a collaborative process of a group of teachers in identifying learning problems and designing learning scenarios (including the activity of searching for books and articles on the topics that will be taught). Lesson study is an effective way to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the classroom. The development of lesson study is conducted based on the sharing of professional knowledge particularly on the practices and learning outcomes undertaken by the teachers. The components of language teaching comprises listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, require the support of information technology that can be used for sharing knowledge in lesson study activities. This study aims at testing the models of knowledge sharing using the iCloud system for language teachers. The knowledge sharing model which is developed involving knowledge-donating in which any individuals communicate their knowledges to others and knowledge-collecting by having discussions with colleagues to gain knowledges from them. The result of the research shows that sharing knowledge using iCloud system in lesson study allows language teachers to improve their teaching skills.
