Abstract

The issues of resource efficiency are becoming more and more urgent as human civilization has to face various challenges. They are of special significance in terms of natural resource management and mineral production. That is why there is a constantly growing demand for specialists in mining and oil and gas areas able to carry out professional activities taking into account the advanced worldwide experience described in foreign news sources. The analysis of the concept of "resource efficiency" and the main directions of research in this area are described in this article. So far, a lot of  Russian and foreign scientists (P. Benson, S. Bezborodova, L. Bolsunovskaya, P. Carr, C.Chapman,  A. Dulson, M. Fedzechkina,  Kolawole Clement, T. Lamb, A. Liddicoat, A. Mazurov, D. Muijs, J. Mukalel, H. Reinders, D. Reynolds, P. Sammons, A. The given study first analyses the problems of resource efficiency in relation to language training of bachelors of Engineering in technological universities. The definition of the term «resources of foreign language training» along with their classification based on scientific literature analysis has been introduced. The authors have developed the description of resource-efficient technology of foreign language training of bachelors of Engineering and Technology. The theoretical and methodological principles and concepts underlying this technology have been described.  The key components (comprehensive technology, testing and diagnostic, target and result), stages and terms of the implementation of given technology have been introduced. The basic criteria, indicators and tools of the comprehensive evaluation of the efficiency of the proposed technology have been defined. The statistical and comparative analysis of the data obtained in the pedagogical experiment conducted at the Institute of Natural Resources of Tomsk Polytechnic University, has proved that the resource-efficient technology of foreign language teaching to bachelors of engineering allowed to enhance the educational process.
