This presentation will be sharing the types of technology used in EFL classrooms in general and trends of the same in the Nepalese context in particular. This presentation will focus on how the innovation of technologies in ELT classes has challenged both teachers and learners in the beginning and how the novel practices have been changing their teaching learning process.

Teachers of English as a foreign/second language in particular are increasingly expected to use technology to enhance learning. A proper use of technologies in classrooms can sustain students’ interest throughout the lesson. In addition, it is the most effective way to stop students from stepping into the realms of fantasy. Moreover, it will deepen teachers’ insight into some crucial issues of a combination of ICT tools and curricula. The talk will discuss some possible factors affecting teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards ICT tools in teaching.  Some data were collected through questionnaire distributed among teachers and students in few schools. The questionnaire revealed that use of technology in class brings brings theory or written materials into life. Furthermore, due to ICT in learning students feel like learning by touch not acquiring through their mind. It was also found that the more students were exposed to ICT tools, the more aware of the distinctiveness of technology students were.
