How Tablets Accelerate the Ease of Learning a Foreign Language?

Abstract
Tablet has been adopted faster than any other technological tool in education. Language teachers appreciate its mobility, ease of use and above all, its "all-in-one" function: consultation tool (books, internet, sound, video, images, etc ...) and creation tool (individual or collaborative activities). In practice, tablet can help teachers to :
- increase student oral and written production in the target language
- produce engaging and interactive comprehension activities
- quickly check the understanding of all students in a class
- provide differentiated extension activities.
How language teachers can integrate the tablet into their teaching practices ?
Which apps should be used ? for which activities ?
This workshop will present the amazing ways that a tablet can transform a language classroom, from simple activities to storytelling or app-smashing. Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of how to begin a friendly tablet project as well as a bunch of useful teaching examples.
