She has experience in literacy and language education accross a range of sectors. She holds an MA in e-learning (UOC). Current research interests include Computer-mediated-Communication, Task-based Learning, and learner agency.

Elena Barberà, Head of the Doctoral Program in ICT and Education at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), Spain. She is a specialist in the areas of educational psychology, and has several publications relating to knowledge-construction processes, interaction in online environments, online learning and assessment and teaching and learning strategies.
