Nergis Koparan is an instructor who has been working at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University since 2013 and who has been teaching English there. .
She graduated from the department of English Language and Literature, Black Sea Technical University in June 2012; and just after that she started working in her own university, in the School of Foreign Languages. Since then she has been teaching English at different levels. As well as teaching English in four skills, she is currently teaching Aviation English to the second year students in Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program in Vocational School.
As a project of the university which she is working for, she has had good chances to teach international classes. She also enjoyed working with gifted and talented children at the age of 6-11, which was another project of the university. In 2015, she got the opportunity to be trained in Turkish Airlines and was awarded with a rater training certificate by participating in Aviation English trainings.
Additionally, she has made translation both English-Turkish and Turkish-English in a variety of academic fields, especially on articles and academic studies.
Now, Nergis who is both a teacher and a master student, continues her academic career life with the department of English Language Teaching at Institute of Education Sciences of Bahçeşehir University.
Areas of expertise: Teaching English to adults-young learners-and children, language teaching, teaching Aviation English for cabin crew.
