Investigating the Effects of Information and Communication Technology on Students’ Learning Quality

Abstract

The purpose of present study is investigating the effects of communication and information technology on learning quality of Tehran secondary school female students in academic year 91-92. It is functional, descriptive and survey in terms of purpose, data collection and research method respectively. The population was all Tehran female students who educate in smart secondary schools in academic year 91-92 among which 363 were selected using Morgan Sampling Scale and cluster/ stratified sampling. To collect data the structured questionnaire was applied. The validity and reliability of questionnaire was assessed through face and content validity and experimental administration of questionnaire in a population of 35 students and was calculated as 92% using Cronbach’ Alpha. To analyze data by inferential statistics, one sample t-test and Friedman test were used. The results indicated that using ICT (information and communication technology) affects on better and more motivated and creative learning of female students in secondary schools.
