Norma Patricia Maldonado Reynoso, Instituto Politécnico Nacional - Centro de Investigaciones Económicas, Administrativas y Sociales (Mexico)

Abstract

Today, the incorporation of Internet in the educational field has become commonplace, from pre-school level to graduate level education.

However, the growth and development of the Internet itself, it changes every year. We can no longer talk about the Internet as the same as a few decades ago. This growth of the Internet brings new forms that can be used as teaching strategies in the classroom.

So, with the so-called Web 2.0 is expected more sharing, interactivity and uses of online resources in line with the new educational models in which the student is no longer a passive recipient.

Nevertheless, even to date, some teachers feel that they are at the technological forefront only when they publish or share a digital file on the web and the document can be accessed by students (typical web 1.0), but this would be a very marginal use of internet if we stay with this level of use of the technological infrastructure.

At present we have a large number of tools that allows us to use the web in Education, but even we need to identify what those tools of Web 2.0 and sometime in the future of Web 3.0 is and how it can enrich education face to face and distance education.

This paper will present some reflections from a series of educational experiences within the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico), particularly senior and graduate, that allow us to not only assessing these technological tools, but to highlight the vision and teacher training necessary when they use these tools with a didactic purpose. This represents a great challenge to use the Web 2.0 with young people using various Internet tools not only in education but in their daily lives.
