IMSLD: Allows you to specify formally the course of a learning unit. In other words, it allows you to specify the course of a module, of lesson. From the point of view of the specification, it is indeed a collection of resources prepared for learning. One can find the objectives and prerequisites of the learning unit, the description of the roles played by learners and teachers, the list and sequence of activities that will enable learning and resources (educational, material and human).

IMSLIP: The IMS LIP standard provides a way to store information about a learner in a database [IMS01]. This is a standard data model for describing the characteristics of a learner needed to manage its learning history.
