The research was conducted with high school students from a public school in the Federal District, the project combined face-to-face and distance activities, using digital platforms, notably Google Classroom, to facilitate interaction and student engagement. The purpose of the research was to evaluate accessibility to resources technologies available to students and investigate how the use of these technologies could improve learning about vaccines. The results revealed an increase significant impact on student motivation and engagement with Biology content when mediated by ICTs, reflecting an in-depth understanding of vaccines. As final product, an investigative didactic sequence on vaccines was developed, demonstrating that the effective integration of digital tools in the educational process can substantially enrich learning. This pedagogical resource, structured around the use of ICTs, proved to be a promising strategy for teaching Biology, emphasizing application of active methodologies to engage students. The study highlights the need to incorporate educational technologies into the school curriculum to promote an understanding critical and up-to-date on public health issues such as vaccination, preparing students to face contemporary challenges in an informed way.
