Safae Jaddari, Regional Center for Education and Training Professions - Tangier, Tetouan (Morocco)

Abstract

The challenges associated with the qualification of teachers and the prospects for reforming training institutions have been a central concern for educators and trainers. They aim to identify obstacles to previous reforms and explore the underlying reasons. The training provided by regional centers for education and training aims to develop professional competencies as a fundamental entry point into the profession. The quality of basic training is a crucial factor that will shape the core of the work of regional centers for education and training. This is a real indicator of their administrative, financial, and educational independence. It is also essential for various receiving institutions, demonstrating their seriousness and frameworks in contributing to refining the skills imparted to professionals and supporting them at various stages from enrollment to graduation.   The study aimed to understand the importance of training student teachers within regional centers for education and training in developing their educational capacities. It framed the research problem around the quality of the training path for the teaching staff and how this quality contributes to good governance. The study selected a sample of 140 educators, and the final sample included 108 educators who underwent in-person training at regional centers for education and training. They responded to a questionnaire designed to collect data, and a suitable descriptive approach was used for the nature of this study.   The results indicated a very high role of training within regional centers in enhancing self-efficacy and improving training quality. There were differences of statistical significance at the 0.05 level in the role of in-person training in developing educators' capacities and improving the quality of their training. These differences were attributed to variables such as qualification, certification, and the number of weeks in in-person training.
