Abstract
The purpose of this article is to examine the potential for effective and responsible use of virtual reality. Virtual reality is used as an innovative tool to improve teaching and learning strategies. Virtual reality technologies make learning more visual, allow students to activate, and involve them in the learning process. Teachers and students have the opportunity to use virtual laboratories to study, develop and practice skills. Information technologies enhance an opportunity to preserve the possibilities of classical full-time education, but also use a variety of software and hardware tools that are unavailable in education, which can contribute to improving the effectiveness of the educational process through interactivity, visualization, personification and numerous other promising opportunities. Virtual immersion in a language environment can contribute to the development of empathy and culture-specific knowledge, as they take students beyond their usual everyday experience. It is worth noting that teachers can use virtual reality applications to improve language teaching by introducing students to the culture of people. Using technology to create a culturally diverse environment helps students foster positive communication across cultures.
