Demet Karakaş is a physics teacher at Terakki Foundation Şişli Terakki Private High School.
She graduated in Faculty of Science , Physics department – from Istanbul University in 1991. After that,she had MsC on Condensed Matter from Istanbul University in 1994.
She attended Diploma Course Programme in International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste / ITALY between 1992 and 1994.
The title of thesis was ‘ A Model for the Metal-Non-Metal Transition in Metal-Molten Salt Solutions. (IL Nuovo Cimento D ,1994)
Demet Karakaş is responsible in the planning and management of alternative physics experiments. One of them has been published as a good sample for science education in European High Schools by Stencil web site.
In additionally, she is interested in robotic. She is also responsible for the Mechatronic Clup at Şişli Terakki Private High School. She has attended to many Robotic competitions with Mechatronic Club's students .
