Dr. Glaze, Graduate Faculty in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas A & M University-Commerce is an up-an-coming researcher already making a name for herself in the area of evolution education. She has been nationally recognized for the importance of her work in exploring the intersections between science and society, and has been featured in various top-tier science education journals as well as applied science documentaries and curation programs. She has developed professional development for teachers and pre-service teachers for various facets of science education, and helped to develop PD experiences for AP teachers in Alabama in coordination with the Smithsonian Institution’s Human Origins Program. Her grant work addresses intersections of science and society, improving science teacher education, and many aspects of evolution teaching and learning. She has served as a consultant on local and national grants (Texas T-Res; NSF-LEtHE). Her research and PD experiences extend to areas of conceptual change and conceptual ecologies, teaching and learning amidst controversial topics, and worldview impact on science literacy.
