Sofia Chatzigeorgiou works in secondary education. She graduated from the department of History and Archaeology of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1992. Since then she has worked in the field of education, teaching Greek History, Language and Literature to Senior High School students. She has attended a number of seminars on the use of ICT in education and on the application of innovative methods of teaching. She has brought into practice several innovative teaching programs based on cross-curricular approach of knowledge through research, the use of technologies and Art Education.
