Chief Assist. Sonya Lyubomirova Spasova, PhD is chief assistant in the department of “Culture, historical heritage and tourism” at FLSCH at ULSIT.
The main and scientific interests are in the field of organization and management of processes for socialization of cultural heritage in the modern educational system; research and study of innovative practices for the interaction of cultural organizations with educational institutions in the application of current methodological and pedagogical approaches to improve the quality of the educational process, as well as the introduction of modern approaches to the realization of educational tourism. She has participated in various research projects in the field of cultural heritage and education, as well as a number of publications on the subject. The lecture courses developed by her are “Educational concepts for socialization of cultural heritage”, “Museum pedagogy”, “Educational programs of cultural institutions”. In the period 2019-2022, she is the leader of project No. KP 06-M35/3 of 18.12.2019 on the topic: “Research of contemporary educational programs of cultural institutions in Bulgaria”, funded by the National Science Fund, which was awarded with a Certificate for one of the most successfully reported projects at the NSF for 2022.
