Juan Sabin is experimental biophysicist and associated professor of didactic of science.

He got his PhD at Physics Department of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where he presented a thesis on liposomes as drug delivery systems.
Juan has been working as postdoc for the Canadian Space Agency in collaboration with NASA and other American universities in the study of crystallization of colloidal particles on board of the International Space Station.
In 2013, he created his own startup company where we developed AFFINImeter, a software for the analysis of data obtained with biophysical techniques. Nowadays, AFFINImeter is a key tool in many universities and pharmaceutical companies that use calorimetry for thermodynamic and kinetic characterization of drug-target interactions.

As professor in didactic of science, Juan is a lecturer in the Master’s degree in Secondary Education Teaching at the Santiago of Compostela University (Spain). He is interested in the constructivist approach in the teaching of physics and chemistry and the programming of learning landscapes to attempt diversity in secondary classes.

Areas of expertise: physics, didactic of science, constructivism, POE strategies, learning landscapes, multiple intelligences chemistry, biophysics, drug development, fundamental physics.
