Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: A Systematic Review

Abstract

Digital technologies have been widely used to facilitate the construction of knowledge, promoting more sustainable and accessible educational experiences. In this context, the problem question of this research emerges: How has this technology been applied in university institutions? The aim was to map out, by means of a bibliometric review. The research was conducted through a systematic search of the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The results show that the application of AI to education is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary field of research.
