The relevance of the topic is absolutely undoubted. At a time when a teacher is forced to take care of the physical and psychological safety of his students and at the same time maintain the proper quality of education, technical means become necessary. The authors of the scientific study have chosen a niche that is new not only for Ukraine and our military realities, but also for the current stage of development of society. Modern children are under a strong information load, so psychological and social services are unable to ensure full coverage of all children, including those from families that do not arouse any suspicion. In addition, there is a problem of bullying, including digital. Because of this, the development of technical means that will allow for timely recognition of objective signals of vegetative arousal is an important tool that should replace conventional video surveillance systems.

“From Signals to Support: A Classroom-Scale Biometric–Facial Research Platform for Inclusive Education” makes an exceptionally positive impression due to its innovation, strong scientific relevance, and clear practical orientation. The authors present an original solution for supporting the psycho-emotional well-being of children facing the challenges of war by integrating advanced digital technologies with humanistic approaches to inclusive education.

Particularly noteworthy are the interdisciplinary nature of the research, the well-designed methodology, and the careful attention given to ethical considerations when working with children. The study successfully bridges educational sciences, psychology, and emerging technologies, demonstrating significant potential for both research and practical application.

The presentation of this work at an international conference represents a valuable contribution to the advancement of educational innovation and enhances the international visibility of Ukrainian scholarship. It highlights the capacity of Ukrainian researchers to address pressing societal challenges through creative, evidence-based, and technologically advanced educational solutions.

The problem examined in the presentation is highly relevant due to the fact that the war going on in Ukraine has left millions of Ukrainian children with trauma-related stress that may not always be evident through observable emotional expressions.. Moreover, teachers currently have limited access to practical real-time tools that can identify discrepancies between observable emotional behaviour and underlying physiological stress. The research provides concrete technical specifications, explains how facial and physiological signals are combined, includes privacy-preserving design choices (on-device inference, no images leaving the phone), and gives operational details about classroom scalability (30 devices). The system designed by the authors provides researchers and educators with timely insights that can support more responsive interventions. The study is useful for both teachers and children.
