Abstract

In the contemporary and highly competitive academic environment where institutions of higher learning are faced with stiff competition, institutional energy which has to do with the extent to which institutions of higher learning mobilize its positive emotional, cognitive and behavioural distinctive capabilities towards the actualisation of institutional goals cannot be over emphasized. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of institutional energy on Faculty performance in some selected private universities in Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the investigation of the subject matter. Eight hundred and eighty six (886) respondents were surveyed across all the colleges of the selected universities with the use of stratified and simple random sampling techniques. The analysis was done with Structural Equation Model (AMOS 22) to determine the level of influence and the degree of relationship between institutional energy and faculty performance. Results of the findings and recommendations will be provided as soon as the analysis is completed.
