Abstract
The present work aims to demonstrate the insertion of information and communication technologies in higher education in Brazil, as well as in the training of teachers in this area of education. In order to elucidate the topic in question, besides the scientific research, a field research was conducted with interviews with teachers who are entering the labor market, as well as with teachers who have been in the activity for many years. different stages of higher education in the country. It is notable the growth of technologies in the various areas of operation, however, some professionals still resist these technologies, either because of lack of knowledge or because of lack of capacity. The general objective of the field research is to demonstrate the importance of the use of ICT in the restructuring of Brazilian higher education, in the continuous training of teachers and in the qualified training of students, and it has been sufficiently proven that technological evolution, as a whole, has contributed greatly to improve the quality of higher education in Brazil, both in the teaching area and in the student
