The Future of Education

Within the initiatives of social projection of the Juan de Castellanos University  and the impact with the external sector, a project was generated in 2018-II with the educational institution Julius Sieber of Tunja-Boyacá. The project seeks in the context of the City's bicentennial, to promote a series of pedagogical actions that stimulate and strengthen English language learning strategies with high school students. The project favors the acquisition of skills in the foreign language and promotes actions to promote tourism giving  importance to the historical part. It is expected that this type of projects will allow a greater interaction between the different educational actors of the region and serve as a pedagogical work scheme aimed at improving foreign language learning for children in the region. In the context of the bicentennial of independence, the project and the related social actors will have the opportunity to accompany different people who visit the city and work as historical tourism guides. The paper seeks to make visible the importance of this type of pedagogical initiatives, highlight their achievements and make known in the international context the magnitude of the bicentennial event to promote work networks that are oriented to support this type of strategy.
