The Covid-19 has transformed to new approaches of education delivery that affect most countries specifically in the education systems. With higher education institutions and universities across Malaysia turning to online distance learning during the COVID_19 pandemic, all universities and ESL instructors started to concern about the quality of instruction of English learners. Most ESL learners are grappling with the online environment and access to technology. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the ESL undergraduates’ perceptions of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Quantitative method was employed in this study. An online questionnaire was disseminated to the respondents. A total of 215 ESL undergraduates from a selected public university were participated and responded to the online questionnaires. The results revealed that the ESL undergraduates have discovered that online learning did not impede them from English language learning. Conversely, learning through an online environment can increase positivity among ESL undergraduates in English language learning. Moreover, ESL undergraduates have constructive feedbacks towards online learning. Finally, future research should be conducted by other researchers regarding the issue of the study.
