The Influence of Self-Regulated Learning in Piano Learning

Abstract

Self-regulated learning refers to the process in which learners set appropriate learning goals, motivate themselves or actively use learning strategies with the help of teachers and achieve learning goals. This paper combines the theory of self-regulation learning with piano learning, expounds the importance of self-discipline learning ability in piano learning, and proposes a training plan. According to the theory of self-discipline learning, the psychological mechanism of self-discipline in piano learning is studied, and a plan for cultivating students' piano self-discipline learning ability is proposed from the four aspects of students' cognition, motivation, behavior and and learning situation. A study with 32 piano students from the music school was devised and conducted over the course of eight weeks. It is graded using the worldwide piano performance evaluation standard, and a feedback form of self-regulation learning is added to the original premise in a new way. In this form, scores were seen and recorded, and the results were evaluated using a t-test. The findings, as it turns out, are extraordinary. The self-regulation learning ability training program can help pupils improve their piano learning performance better than the traditional piano learning mode. This study has the potential to improve piano learning efficiency and contribute to the advancement of piano instruction.
