How AI Can Enhance Linguistics Education?

Zahid Ali, Department of English Language and Literature, Government College University Hyderabad (Pakistan)

Abstract

This paper explores the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing linguistics education. The study investigates how AI tools can personalize learning experiences, provide instant feedback, and improve language processing capabilities. A mixed-methods approach has been employed, involving surveys of students and educators as well as case studies of institutions successfully integrating AI technologies into their linguistics curricula. Findings indicate that Artificial Intelligence tools can significantly enhance engagement and learning outcomes by tailoring educational content to individual needs and facilitating real-time language practice. The implications of this research suggest that incorporating AI in linguistics education not only fosters better language acquisition but also prepares students for a technology-driven future. This study contributes to the growing discourse on the intersection of technology and education, highlighting the necessity for educators to embrace innovative teaching methodologies.
