Abstract
Throughout their lives, humans have pursued happiness and pleasure. In a changing world, managing and protecting mental and emotional health in this pursuit has also been the subject of scientific studies. This study aims to explore why a mindfulness course, included in the curricula of various countries, is needed in the Turkish education system and to identify the expected changes in individual and societal development over a 20-year period. The study collected relevant data from articles and online sources, such as TÜİK, through a literature review, and the data were analyzed using document analysis to prepare a qualitative study. Consequently, a proposed curriculum design was developed. The study underscores the necessity of a program to increase Türkiye's low happiness rates. Incorporating a “Mindfulness” course into the curriculum has been shown to enable the upbringing of individuals who are aware of personal development from an early age, happy, and beneficial to society. The program contributes to fostering empathetic, tolerant, egalitarian individuals with established routines and effective emotional management skills throughout the process.
