The Future of Education

Sylvie Viola has been a professor in the Department of Didactic at the University of Quebec in Montreal since 2000. As part of her courses, she teaches future elementary school teachers models of learning and teaching. She also assists students in developing their professional portfolios. In addition, she supervises the internships of 1st and 4th year students. She is also interested in the development of competency-based programs in Quebec and abroad. Her research interests include professional didactic, the motivational profile of students, support mechanisms and approaches facilitating the transfer of knowledge in practice in relation to pedagogical strategies.
