Ann-Louise Ljungblad is a Senior lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. She is a Head of the Special Education Teacher Program with focus on mathematics, at the Department of Education and Special Education. She is a Ph. D in Pedagogy. Her research interests are in the field of: Inclusive Education, Children’s Rights, Relational Pedagogy, and Mathematical difficulties. She has a special interest in empirical classroom studies in the field of Special Education and diversity, participation, accessibility and equity.
She has worked at The National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools, and during four years she was the Head of a national project called – Mathematical difficulties in inclusive environments. She is also an author of 10 Scandinavian books in the field of Mathematical difficulties.
During the last year she has developed a new relational theoretic perspective Pedagogical Relational Teachership, PeRT, which can be seen as a branch within the field of Relational Pedagogy. It is a relational approach on education that can support development of new knowledge about teachers’ relational proficiencies.
