Sergiu Jelihovschii is an English and French teacher in the Theoretical Lyceum ,,Mesterul Manole”, from village Salcuta, district Causeni from 2008.
Sergiu graduated the Faculty of Foreign Languages (English and French) at the Pedagogical University ,,Ion Creanga” from Chisinau, the Master in English and the Doctoral Studies in the same field and at the same University. He benefited by two international scholarships during the doctoral studies in Romania: “Eugen Ionescu” in Bucharest and Erasmus IANUS II in Iasi.
Sergiu is working also as a researcher at the State University of Tiraspol in the project EduScience.
Sergiu is the director of the NGO Demosos from his district implementing national and international projects for youth and for people with fewer possibilities. Since 2007 he managed Youth in Action Projects, projects funded by: the Centre for Independent Journalism, Soros and Prodidactica.
Sergiu is an Odyssey of the Mind coach in his school and his teams were awarded annually in Moldova and participated at the Eurofest in Slovakia, Poland, Belarus and Germany.
Sergiu is an active member of the eTwinning community and participated in various conferences, seminars and projects in Moldova, Austria, Romania and Italy. He succeeded to realize partnerships and exchanges with schools from European and non-European countries like: Romania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, France and Bulgaria.
Sergiu participated at the Linguistic and Cultural Stage in France in 2017, funded by the Organization Solidarite Laique and realized a partnership with its members. In October 2017, a group of teachers and experts in Education visited Moldova and made a series of conferences, seminars and a cultural exchange.
