Dr. Lina Sierra is Emeritus Professor of the Department of Modern Languages and has been working in the areas of English Language, Literature, Applied Linguistics and Teacher Training.
Lina Sierra has been involved in European projects, and also helps Dr Piedad Martín in management tasks in projects, as she has a large experience in management. She has been Academic Secretary of the Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación (ICE) in the University of Alcalá, and Headmistress, Academic Secretary, and Head of the Department of English Language in several secondary schools in Spain.
She has graduated and defended her doctoral thesis in English Philology in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), and since then she has been working in Secondary Education as Head of the Department in English, and at the University of Alcalá in the areas above mentioned.
Dr. Lina Sierra has presented papers dealing with English Language, Literature, Applied Linguistics, Education and Teacher Training, and also with her experience in European Projects in International Conferences. She also has research publications in these areas.
