Sylvie Rocque

Sylvie Rocque is a member of the GDA (Groupe DÉFI Accessibilité - Challenging Accessibility Group), a research team specializing in cognitive accessibility and education. GDA brings together 20 researchers, mainly in education and engineering. The team conducts research and innovation in partnership with schools and communities, civic organizations, businesses and other research communities : http://gda-qc.com
She graduated in Education – Université du Quebec à Montréal in 1994 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Aix-en-Provence in cognitive psychology.

Sylvie Rocque is a specialist in ecology of education and in intervention with vulnerable people.
So far, Sylvie Rocque was involved in many research partnerships on education of vulnerable populations. Sylvie Rocque is often invited to present at conferences and international events.

She is involved in the development of the «Dictionnaire actuel de l’éducation» (Dictionary of Education) for over 30 years. She has also participated in the design of the of the section " AccèsSimple " of the City of Montreal website, which makes municipal information accessible to citizens who have trouble reading :

With his colleague Jacques Langevin and three parents, she created the " Fonds Émilie-Bordeleau ", a charitable fund that supports research and innovation in the education of students with intellectual disabilities : http://feb.umontreal.ca
